For the purposes of this Privacy  Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Gracie Barra Events Inc, DBA CompNet Global  Jiu-Jitsu League include and CompNet. The CompNet website is a  Tournament Registration Website. By using the CompNet website, you consent to the data  practices described in this statement.  

1. Collection of your Personal Information  

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us.  However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to  register for a CompNet event. Additionally, in order to better provide you with competition  registration, CompNet may collect general personally identifiable information and “Competitor  Profile Information”, such as your:  

General personally identifiable information:

• Mailing Address 

• E-mail Address 

• Phone Number  

Competitor Profile Information:  

• School Affiliation  

• Gender  

• Weight  

• Jiu-JitsuRank 

• Country of Origin 

• Your Photo  

If you enroll to compete, CompNet will collect billing and credit card information. This  information is only used to complete the purchase transaction. 

2. Use of your Personal Information 

General personally identifiable information will be used for communication purposes with you,  to provide the services offered by CompNet and to communicate regarding administrative  matters related to CompNet. Competitor Profile Information will be used for verification  purposes, competition scheduling, CompNet rankings, CompNet results and the CompNet  tournaments themselves.

3. Likeness 

Your visual image, likeness, and voice recording may be recorded if you compete in a CompNet  event. This likeness may appear on the CompNet website or be used in or on future promotional  materials. By providing your photo and competing in a CompNet event you consent to these  uses. 

4. Sharing Information with Third Parties  

CompNet does not sell, rent or lease your Personal Information to third parties. CompNet may,  from time to time, share your information with select Gracie Barra entities so that they can  provide you with special offers, promotional materials, and other materials that may be of  interest to you.  

In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone  number) is transferred to the third party, a Gracie Barra affiliated entity. All such third parties are  prohibited from using your personal information except to provide the information described  above, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.    

CompNet may share your personal information, with competent law enforcement bodies,  regulators, our insurers, external legal advisors, government agencies, courts or other third  parties where we believe disclosure is necessary: (i) to comply with applicable law; (ii) to  exercise, establish or defend our legal rights; (iii) to protect your rights or vital interests or those  or any other person; or (iv) to detect, prevent or otherwise address security, fraud or technical  issues.

This information is used for the operation of the service,  to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the CompNet  website.

10. Children Under Thirteen 

CompNet collects personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen.  CompNet collects this information for registration and participation in CompNet Jiu-Jitsu  Tournaments. We provide information about our personal data practices for children on our home page and wherever we knowingly collect personal data from children on our website. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website. 11. “Do Not Track” Disclosure  

Some browsers transmit Do Not Track (DNT) signals to websites. Because there is no common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal, CompNet does not currently alter, change, or respond to DNT requests or signals from these browsers. We will continue to monitor industry activity in this area and reassess our DNT practices as necessary.

From time to time, CompNet may contact you via email for the purpose of providing  announcements, competition information, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys,  and/or other general communication. To improve our Services, we may receive a notification  when you open an email from CompNet or click on a link therein.  

If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from  CompNet, you may opt out of such communications by clicking on the UNSUBSCRIBE button.  

13. Right to Deletion, Opt-Out / Unsubscribe  

Right to Deletion : On receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:  

• Delete your personal information from our records; and  

• Direct any Gracie Barra affiliates to delete your personal information from their records.
