Introducing the CN Global League

2022 is the most exciting season yet for Gracie Barra Competitors. With dozens of local, regional, and national tournaments happening worldwide, our athletes will have countless opportunities to accumulate points while enjoying the challenge, thrill, and fun of a CompNet.

Competition is a great tool for development, teaching you to adapt and improve under pressure, both in preparation and during each match. Master Carlos envisioned a competitive environment that embraces the core values of Gracie Barra by encouraging the development of fierce and respectful athletes while nurturing the competitive spirit within each of us.

THE LEARNING we can experience from well-organized events makes each participant better. When we learn, we get better, and when one of us gets better, we all get better.

CompNet is the Global Jiu-Jitsu League formed by Gracie Barra Team members dedicated to achieving excellence through competitive Jiu-Jitsu. The competition network nurture’s the competitive spirit of all GB team members, whether you are an athlete, coach, professor, school owner, regional leader, or spectator.

In 2022 we are growing from a collection of tournaments scattered worldwide to a Global Jiu-Jitsu League with unified divisions and rule sets, a coordinated season calendar, global athlete rankings, and awards. We are excited to be launching with a record-breaking 16 regions across five continents, hosting close to 50 tournaments.

The Global Rankings bring a new level of excitement, connecting all tournaments worldwide, unifying every Gracie Barra athlete in an exciting race to accumulate points until the season's end. Each year will conclude with the Global Awards Ceremony, where we will recognize the top athletes, schools, and regions for their performances.

There are three levels of tournaments for the 2022 Season. Each group represents the reach of a specific event and specific weight for the Global Ranking.

HOW ARE POINTS AWARDED?

Gold = 9 points
Silver = 4 points
Bronze = 1 point

There is a tournament multiplier (weight) depending on the level of the tournament:

CN Local x1
CN Regional x2
CN National x3

We will continue to work hard to establish CN as the preferred competitive arena for all Gracie Barra members. Together we are fostering a culture of sportsmanship, mutual respect, and appreciation for world-class Jiu-Jitsu.
