REGISTRATION

CompNet Competitors must register for a division they qualify for based on age, weight, and Jiu-Jitsu rank. When choosing a division, competitors must consider the following:

  • Register for the age division in which the competitor will be on the day of the competition, for Tiny Champs, Little Champions 1, Little Champions 2, Juniors 1, Juniors 2, and Teens. For Juvenile, Adult and Master the registration should follow the year of birth. For instance, if the athlete is turning 18 in the year of the tournament, they should compete as adults.
  • Register for a weight division with the full uniform;
  • Register for the Jiu-JItsu rank competitor will be on the day of the competition.

Competitors can edit their divisions during the entire duration of the registration process. The last day to change registrations is 5-7 days before the event. Once brackets are published, and the tournament schedule is announced, the divisions cannot change.

Registration Name

Competitors must use their legal name for registration (First Name and Last name). Adult and master competitors will be required to show ID with the same name used for registration before their matches.

Awards

Medals are awarded to 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place of each division. If athletes compete for third place, the medal will be awarded to the winner of the third-place match. In tournaments in which the athletes do not compete for third place two bronze medals will be awarded.

The uniform ensures that all athletes are properly equipped, minimizing the risk of injury while promoting fair play. Additionally, wearing the official uniform fosters a sense of unity and teamwork, connecting every competitor as part of the Gracie Barra family. It reinforces the idea that while we compete individually, we do so as part of something larger—representing the legacy, excellence, and competitive spirit of Gracie Barra.

WEIGH-Ins

Every competitor must weigh in before the first match. There is only one opportunity to check the weight. Competitors who do not meet the division's weight limit are subjected to disqualification.

All competitors must weigh in with their official uniform, including the belt and the rashguard.

For example, 107.0 lbs (Rooster) means an athlete must weigh 107.0 lbs or below with their Gi; 107.1 lbs will result in disqualification.
